My search for the best hard cider has taken ten years or so. Started with Woodchuck Amber on tap, then discovered their 802 which is drier and quite good. Magners wasn't apply enough; same with Crispin and Hornsby. There have been two or three others in the last year or so, but finding Angry Orchard was a blessing. The perfect balance of taste without being too sweet. One of my local beer/wine stores has a very impressive selection of ciders and microbrews. It's almost a shame I'm not a beer guy.

I prefer homemade. I don't prefer the homemade's b-vitamin overload to the intestines, if you catch my drift.

Plus, that shit is like 5 bucks a pour at my local, when microbrews are 4.25 and stronger and more manly.

Nice. Definitely enjoyable, but when you're a student, ruled by the almighty drunkness/dollar ratio (with the limiting factor being dollars, not drunkness), a couple 3$ gallons of cider are a welcome refresher.
